The Zionsbote was the official publication of the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches from 1884-1964.  It was first published as a quarterly, by 1886 a semimonthly and in 1904 a weekly paper of sixteen pages.  The purpose of the paper was to build community, educate its readers about various missionaries and their work.  The last issue was published December 29, 1964.  Its readership was based in the Untied States with representation in Canada and Russia.
