Introduction

The Mennonite Brethren have always strived to live faithfully in their context. As their context changed new challenges and struggles were introduced. One way the church as a whole sought to deal with these new challenges was through prayerful debate and discussions. The church commissioned Study Conferences where leaders from the US and Canada presented and discussed papers on a specific theme. The themes addressed current day issues and varied widely. They include divorce and remarriage, ethnicity, spiritual warfare, baptism, women in leadership, evangelism. Together these papers constitute a history of ideas and document how the Mennonite Brethren have struggled with maintaining identity, relevancy, and meaning within its rapidly changing North American context. Below is a listing and links to these papers. Contact the Centre directly for papers not linked.
