Administrative History
In 1961 the Conference of Mennonites in Canada sponsored the organization of a Mennonite congregation in Thompson. A meeting house was constructed soon thereafter and then expanded. The people came from various Mennonite backgrounds. Therefore it was felt that the congregation should be a member of various Mennonite conferences, mainly to avoid each conference founding its own-affiliated congregation. So the congregation made application in 1968 to join the Conference of Mennonites in Canada and the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. In 1969 the Manitoba Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches in convention rejected the application. The became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Conference in 1981.
The language of worship is English.
