Administrative history
The St. Boniface Evangelical Christian Church (L’Eglise Chretienne Evangelique de St-Boniface) began in 1982 as a church planting venture of the Manitoba Missions and Church Extension. The chartering service was held on 13 January 1985 with 35 members. It grew in the 1980s but declined in the 1990s. It ceased to exist in 1998. In 1999 a new congregation in the same location was begun as the Crossroads Mennonite Brethren Church. This congregation was essentially the congregation from St. Vital that had relocated previously. Since 2000 the Manitoba Missions and Church Extension has begun another work in St. Boniface.
The leaders of the congregation were: Dick Neufeld (1983–1987), Henry Cullihall (1988–1990), Elsie and Henry Bergen (1992–1994), Heather and Don Boddy (1995–1997).
The language of worship is in English. Previously it was also in French.
Scope and content
This fonds consists of congregational bulletins (1982, 1985, 2000) and an announcement card.
Custodial history
Records were transferred to the Centre for MB Studies archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
