Administrative history
In 1969 visitation to Portuguese-speaking people began. In 1973 Bible studies and English language classes were begun. In 1978 worship services began. These services were interrupted in 1983 and so no work was done from 1984–1987. In 1987 a Portuguese couple, Luci and Jorge Perdonsin, took over the leadership of this group. When they returned to Brazil in 1992 the congregation dissolved.

The leaders of the congregation were: Agatha Block (1971–1972), Linda Banman (1972–1983), Bruno Wiebe (1978–1983), Luci and Jorge Perdonsin (1987–1992).

The language of worship is Portugese.

Scope and content
This fonds consists of reports to Manitoba MB Missions (1978–1993), Advisory Council Meeting minutes (1981–1987), reports and studies about the Portuguese community in Winnipeg (1984–1986), a brief history of the Portuguese efforts (1983), community publicity material (1980s), financial reports (1990–1991).

Custodial history
Records were transferred to the Centre for MB Studies archives in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1995.
