Administrative History
The Margaret Mennonite Brethren Church was organized in 1929 by recent immigrants from the Soviet Union. Its members were mainly farmers from around Dunrea, Margaret and Minto, Manitoba. Due to poor crops and low grain prices in the late 1930's, a number of families moved to B.C. The church dissolved in 1940 with the remaining members joining the Whitewater Mennonite Brethren Church (later called Boissevain Mennonite Brethren Church). The first leader was Jacob Wedel.
The language of worship is German.
