Administrative history

Westpark Chapel in Quesnel, British Columbia, began as a Baptist mission in 1968 and was formalized as a church in 1972. It was known as the Sharon Baptist Mission after the sponsoring church Sharon Missionary Baptist Church of North long Beach Califonia. The church planting couple was Richard and Eleanor Andres, who also became the first pastor couple of the church.

In 1982 the church changed its name to Landmark Baptist Church, and voted to associate with the American Baptist Association, however, the application association was never submitted because of doctrinal disagreements.

The name changed again to Landmark Chapel and then to Westpark Chapel. After functioning as an inter-denominational church for several years, a desire to fellowship with a larger body became evident. After some research, the summer of 1981 they decided to join the Mennonite Brethren Church.

In 1985 there were 85 members, in 1994, 9 members. The church closed ca. 1995. Leaders of the congregation included Richard Andres.
