Administrative history
In November, 1986 the Board of Church Extension of the Mennonite Brethren Conference of British Columbia asked Paul Fast and Betty Fast, the pastor couple at South Langley MB Church, to provide leadership for a church-planting venture in North Langley. A core group from the South Langley church accompanied the Fasts, as well as believers from other churches including the Northview, Cornerstone, and Willingdon Mennonite Brethren Churches. The North Langley Community Church began services and in 1987 was formally organized. Paul Fast is considered the founding leader of the group. North Langley has been affiliated with the BC Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Churches since their beginning and conduct their worship services in English.
In 1995 there were 150 members, and they met at James Kennedy Elementary School until 1997. In 2000, they had 308 members.
Leaders of the congregation include the following: Paul Fast (1986–1994), Henry Willms (1994–1996), Robert Thiessen (1996– ).
