From its inception in 1991,
Gateway Community Church has been committed to strong, caring, supportive relationships with each other and intentional involvement within the local community. The community remains spiritually vibrant by maintaining an upward and onward focus rooted in a commitment to listen to God as a congregation. They meet in an old firehall located in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
The Gateway youth program is dedicated to friendship, spiritual growth, honesty, fun, Bible study, prayer and worship. “Everyone needs a place to belong: this is a group that continually welcomes new people and offers them a safe place to discover faith and ask questions,” says youth leader, Lisa Francis. Lisa’s passion is to facilitate opportunities to guide young people into a deepening knowledge, love and commitment to Jesus Christ. This year, she and her team plan to host Rock Out Loud – a youth coffee house for local teens to enjoy music and friends.
