Obtaining academic credit for the event


Have you considered seminary studies as a step in strengthening your ministry skills? MB Biblical Seminary has campuses in Langley , B.C., Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Fresno, California. Pastors who have a bachelor’s degree can take the pastor’s credentialing course for graduate level credit. It’s a great way to start your seminary education! Cost for the one-credit course is a bargain price at $150. Please contact Lynn Martens in the MBBS-ACTS office at lynn.martens@twu.ca if you are interested.

PCO Faculty


Tim Geddert
has a Ph.D. from Aberdeen University . Tim brings to his teaching a wide variety of experiences that give him insights into God’s work around the world including five years of church-planting and pastoral leadership, short-term mission experiences in several South American, European and African countries, three years of immersion into Scottish culture and church life during his doctoral studies, three years educational and pastoral ministry in Germany. He and his wife Gertrud, are raising their family to be bilingual and bicultural (North American and German). Tim has written several books and many articles on Mark’s Gospel as well as other topics such as Biblical Interpretation, Ecclesiology, and Ethics.

Bruce Guenther has a Ph.D. from McGill University . As a professor, Bruce strives for excellence both as a competent scholar within the discipline of church history, and as a capable communicator and guide to learning in the classroom. Bruce has a particular passion for helping students to think critically about their faith experience without becoming cynical, to historicize their church tradition without discrediting it, and to recognize the relationship in the life of the church between cultural forces and the work of the Holy Spirit. Bruce currently teaches with MBBS within the ACTS consortium at Trinity Western University . He and his wife, Lois have three children: Cameron, Karyn and Kyle.

Ron Toews currently serves as the Director of Leadership Development in British Columbia. He will be drawing from his experience leading INservice, Conflict Resolution and Sacred Trust workshops with pastors in BC.

Brian Cooper is Associate Dean of MBBS-ACTS and Assistant Professor of Theology for MBBS Canada. He served for 5 years as pastor of Family Ministries at Northside Community Church in Mission, BC He is also chair of the Board of Faith and Life of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. Brian has served as an adjunct faculty member at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, ON, Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC, and ACTS seminaries in Langley, BC. He went on to complete his PhD in theology at Wycliffe College in Toronto. Brian lives in Mission, BC with his wife Connie and two children.
